I write to you today to provide further context to the recent announcement that all educational institutions are closed in light of recent updates on the evolving Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). UCCI will transition to remote technology-enabled teaching starting Monday, March 16, 2020 through to April 27, 2020.
UCCI will remain closed but operational. Classes and teaching will continue online following our current semester calendar. Faculty members will contact you to discuss the teaching and learning options for each course which allow you to successfully complete your semester.
If you need Administrative or Teaching IT support, including help with Blackboard/Blackbaud, you can contact the general support email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Any student who has travelled abroad in the last 30 days, returned from a country with an outbreak or come into contact with someone on island with active COVID-19, and is experiencing the following symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties are advised to stay at home to recuperate/self-isolate for a period of 14 days. At this time, we will not ask you to provide medical documentation or sick notes.
Please obtain medical advice from your primary care physician or to arrange a test directly, call the HSA hotline (1-800-534-8600) and notify email@example.com.
We want to thank every student for your continuous support during these challenging times. As the situation continues to evolve, we will be sending immediate updates and as such please regularly check your UCCI emails.
I will keep you and your families in my prayers for continued blessings during this unprecedented time and look forward to full campus operations and seeing each of you again. Please stay strong and take appropriate precautions for your own and your loved one’s well-being.
May, the Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make his face to shine upon you
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you
And give you peace.
