UCCI Welcomes Students Back to Campus for Spring 2022

Tuesday, Jan 04 2022

We are pleased to announce that students will be welcomed back on campus on Jan. 10, 2022.

A large shipment of COVID-19 lateral flow tests (LFTs) will allow UCCI to reopen its classrooms for face-to-face learning for the spring semester. Most classes will be offered in the Hyflex modality so if you do not wish to return to campus, you will be able to attend classes online.

To keep the campus as safe as possible, UCCI is asking that you follow Government best practice guidance and test twice a week for COVID-19 using lateral flow tests, which will be available free of charge through the Student Life office. Negative results should not be reported but positive test results should immediately be reported to Donnette Goddard, Director of Student Life, via phone or email, so that anyone who you have been in contact with can be notified. Ms. Goddard can be reached at (345) 623-0530 or dgoddard@ucci.edu.ky

If you have been in contact with a student testing positive, you will be required to do an LFT once each morning for 10 days (provided by Student Life) before coming to campus. As long as you test negative, you may continue to attend classes in person.

If at any time you test positive, you should contact the Health Services Authority for advice on what further steps to take.

To keep you safe and protected, in addition to regular testing, we ask that all students on campus wear face masks, which cover both mouth and nose, observe social distancing, and wash or sanitize hands regularly.

We very much look forward to welcoming you all back next week.
