You're an International Student!

UCCI’s students are diverse and come from a variety of nationalities and backgrounds. You may also be a Transfer Student, (Overseas) Transient Students, a Study Abroad / Exchange Student or an expatriate residing in the Cayman Islands. See the information below if you are joining UCCI for undergraduate or graduate studies.

Immigration Requirements

International Students must have a valid passport and must also be compliant with immigration requirements in the Cayman Islands. All prospective students should first contact the Cayman Islands Department of Immigration to pursue the correct immigration documentation. Various forms of immigration documentation exist, including: student visas, work permits, permanent residency certificates;  or being listed as a dependent on a work permit or permanent residency certificate if you are under 18 years old.  The Cayman Islands Department of Immigration is the only authority that should advise a student of what is required to be compliant with Cayman Islands Immigration Law.

All International students must provide their immigration documentation to UCCI at least three months before the semester begins. Please note that students will not be allowed to attend classes without proper immigration approval on file.

To obtain a student visa, a student must be enrolled in full-time studies: a minimum of 12 credits in Fall and Spring semesters, and a minimum of 6 credits in the Summer semester.
