Mr. Keeley joined the UCCI team as Campus Director of the newly opened Cayman Brac campus in December 2007. His extensive and varied background and experience in all aspects of communications and education will enable the successful running of UCCI programmes on the Brac as well as introducing some courses uniquely tailored to Brac residents. His entensive and varied background and experience enable the successful running of UCCI programmes on the Brac as well as give him the skills needed for a one-man-show on the Brac looking after all aspects of the operation – from cleaning to teaching.
Mr. Keeley has forty plus years of varied experience—including work as an educator, journalist, photographer, magazine editor and publisher, marketing and sales manager, publicist, actor, producer, and conference and workshop organizer, as well as an active volunteer for arts and environmental organizations — which have given him a broad range of leadership, teaching, and communications skills. He has worked throughout the world, and is currently Education Director for the international NGO the Mangrove Action Project www.mangroveactionproject.org. Prior to joining UCCI he spent ten years teaching science and ecology mostly in Cayman's primary schools.
