Jonathan Bratt

Assistant Professor

Jonathan Bratt joined the faculty of UCCI in 2017 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Arts and Humanities having previously taught at the American International College of Arts and Sciences in Antigua where he taught English and Film Studies. Prior to this, he taught at Bahamas Baptist Community College and Success Training College both located in Nassau, The Bahamas. During his career Mr. Bratt has been deeply involved in programme development playing a central role in the design of a Bachelor of Education programme at Bahamas Baptist Community College. In addition, he has been involved in course coordination as well as taking a lead role in developing course assessment tools. A strong advocate of online and blended learning, Mr. Bratt’s role as Course Coordinator at the University of the West Indies allowed him to develop programmes for the training of e-Tutors and online facilitators in addition to working in a team environment to create content and oversee faculty recruitment. Mr. Bratt also brings extensive experience as an Academic Probation Officer, Faculty Advisor, Academic Advisor and Deputy Examinations Officer in addition to his expertise as Program Coordinator and Course Coordinator. Currently furthering his education at the University of the West Indies, Mr. Bratt holds an MA in Twentieth Century British Literature and Modern Film from National University (2010), a BEd from Western University in London, Canada (2007 - English and Language Arts Instruction) and a BA from Western University (2001 - Combined Honours in English and Film Studies).
