Erica Gordon

Chair & Assistant Professor

Ms. Gordon joined the UCCI team in August 2007 as a Senior Lecturer. She was later appointed Assistant Chair, Acting Chair and has been Chair of the Department of Arts and Humanities since September 2012 before being promoted to Assistant Professor in 2016.  Her background as an educator for more than fifteen years enhances the offerings of UCCI in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. As a Lecturer in Spanish and English, Ms. Gordon assists students in developing those skills that are essential to function effectively in the Caymanian society and in the global village. She assists in the delivery of courses to students in the Associate Degree Programme and the Civil Service College.

Ms. Gordon brings experience from teaching at the secondary and tertiary levels in Jamaica, after receiving training from the Mico Teacher Training College and the University of the West Indies, Mona.
