Job Description

The post holder will identify and allocate to him/herself projects and activities within the scope of the responsibilities, as outlined in the Accountabilities Specific to the Role, alongside the Dean – Professional & Technical Education & Training or designee.

Requirements of Job

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Masters or equivalent degree in business administration, public administration, environmental or sustainability studies, or related field 
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience in Project Management, sustainability, and energy initiatives, planning and coordinating. 
  • Certification training in Project Management (PMP) would be considered an asset
  • Knowledge and experience in procuring goods and services (contracts, training materials, etc.)
  • Effective public relations and networking abilities
  • Demonstrated success working with diverse groups
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • High level of integrity in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a commitment to collaborative collegial processes

Responsibilities

  • Plans, directs, organizes, and controls relevant projects including budget and timelines. Assesses risks associated with each project
  • Responsible for the delivery of projects from initial concept through close-out, including budgeting, planning, procurement of consultants and contractors, contract negotiations, permitting, and construction. Ensures completed project meets deliverable objectives 
  • Possessing the ability to work independently in difficult and complex tasks 
  • Provide quarterly reports of the project or as needed
  • Strong, documentation skills in the areas of organization, problem-solving and personal interactions
  • Ensure that all adjunct staff to be contracted meet the UCCI standard of engagement
  • Should excel in and facilitate a collaborative environment, and collaborative partnerships with wide variety of partners (academic, community organizations, community members, healthcare providers, nonprofits, etc.)
  • Service – promote the social and intellectual growth of all students at UCCI
  • Professionalism – recognize diversity in UCCI’s organizational culture; understand department and UCCI policies and promotes an environment conducive to learning; demonstrates professional conduct in discussing and dealing with internal issues; maintains the balance of work and personal life while engaging in new knowledge to enhance personal growth and skills; and adheres to UCCI policies regarding social conduct, attendance, and dress code
  • Privacy and Confidentiality – engage in a confidential and professional manner all conversations, written and electronic information regarding students and in accordance with UCCI’s privacy and legal requirements
  • Communication – maintains good relationships with UCCI’s clients including the students, visitors, vendors, and other colleagues, even when facing pressure situations and when confronted
  • Commitment to colleagues – shows respect for colleagues; and provides constructive feedback when needed

 Compensation

  • Salary Range KYD $62,508 – KYD $84,036 per annum.
  • Medical, pension and annual leave (3 weeks)

Duration:

One year Contract only
