The University College of the Cayman Islands is seeking a suitably qualified Caymanian or Status Holder for the following position:

TEMPORARY RECEIVABLES COLLECTIONS OFFICER

The successful candidate should have:

  • Strong customer service experience and interpersonal skills
  • A Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and computerised systems
  • A good command of the English language, written and oral
  • The ability to communicate effectively and disarm potential conflicts
  • Good planning, reporting and administrative skills
  • The ability to work well in teams
  • A proven record of working independently and exercise reasonable initiative in carrying out their job functions

Other Information:

Experience in collections and in an accounting and or school environment would be an asset. The successful applicant will paid a base salary of CI $2,000 - $2,500 per month plus commissions on the amount collected. The position is available for a short term 6 months contract in the first instance with the possibility of renewal or extension based on Management’s assessment of the job outcome.

The University College of the Cayman Islands is seeking a suitably qualified Caymanian or Permanent Resident for the following position:

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT TO THE VP/PROVOST

 

Summary:

Under indirect supervision, this position performs complex secretarial work of an administrative nature and assists the University’s Vice-President/ Provost in day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares agenda for meetings chaired by the VP/ Provost
  • Attends meetings, seminars, etc. as required by the VP/Provost and serves as the recording secretary with responsibility for the distribution of said minutes to relevant parties
  • Assist the VP/Provost in the preparation and compiling of information and documents
  • Orders supplies for the VP/ Provost’s office
  • Prepares memorandums, letters, and correspondence for the Vice-President/ Provost
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining official documents and records in appropriate files for the Vice-President/Provost 
  • Makes appointments, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements for the Vice-President/ Provost 
  • Answers incoming calls for the VP/ Provost’s office 
  • Manages personal calendar for the VP/Provost
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • Associate’s degree or higher

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the capacity to be confidential
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
  • Knowledge of computerised information systems

Work Environment:

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment
  • No or very limited physical effort required; however, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
  • No or very limited exposure to physical risks

Benefits:

  • Two year contract, medical and pension plan, annual leave.

Salary Range: CI $32,224 - CI $ 43,404
