Ms. Hargrave joined the UCCI team as a Mathematics Lecturer in 1997 and currently holds the Chair of the Department of Mathematics and Sciences post. Her background in teaching college level Mathematics and curriculum development experience enables her to successfully coordinate the introduction of new departmental programmes. She coordinates all aspects of the department and is presently leading the team in the development of a new four year Bachelor of Science degree.

Ms. Hargrave has over sixteen years experience in tertiary education, initially at a college in central London, before moving to the Cayman Islands to teach at the former Community College, now UCCI. During her time at UCCI, Ms. Hargrave has introduced a number of innovations, most recently the Math Lab and the Preparatory Mathematics course. She has produced teaching materials on a commercial basis, published in the UK and has served on the consultation committee for the new Cayman Islands National Curriculum in Mathematics. She is currently the secretary of the Mathematics Association of the Cayman Islands.

Ms. Hargrave holds a Bachelors degree in Mathematics from University College, University of London, a Masters in Applied Statistics and Operational Research from Birkbeck College, University of London and a Post Graduate Certificate of Education in Mathematics from the Institute of Education, University of London. She is a trained Group Fitness Instructor, certified by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America.
