Dr. Malcolm is involved in programme development and delivery,
course coordination and field supervision of teachers–in-training
in the Faculty of Education since March 2007. Specifically, she
is a member of a team in the Faculty of Education developing the
Diploma in Education and Bachelor’s in Education degree programmes.
She presently lectures in the Psychology of Education, the Philosophy
and Sociology of Education, Measurement and Evaluation, Teaching
in the Primary Subject Area and Teaching Practicum.
Dr. Malcolm has over 35 years of teaching experience which spans
primary, secondary, and tertiary levels (undergraduate and graduate
levels). Also, as an educational psychologist/teacher-trainer, Dr.
Malcolm spent a number of years working in the Cayman Islands school
system, administering formal and informal assessment instruments
to help to identify learning issues in children as well as suggesting
intervention strategies and training teachers to understand the
nature of the condition diagnosed.
