Ms. Simmonds-Barnett joined the staff of UCCI in 2002 as a lecturer in Psychology and English. As a member of team UCCI she adapts the course offerings to the changing needs of the students as the institution and society evolve. She facilitates students’ understanding of themselves and others through the disciplines of Psychology and Business Communication.

A graduate of Shortwood Teachers’ College, University of the West Indies and Caribbean Graduate School of Theology, Mrs. Barnett worked in Jamaica and the Turks and Caicos Islands prior to the Cayman Islands. Her training and experience in education, psychology and social services serve her well in meeting the needs of her diverse student population.
