Dr. Ruth joined the UCCI team as a professor in the Mathematics and Science Department in 2007. Before coming to UCCI, he taught at Miami Dade College in Miami, Florida.

He has worked for an internet gaming software development company in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he was responsible for mathematics and quality assurance and also has experience working for an investment firm where he worked with financial statistics and data processing. His combination of academic and practical work experience are valuable assets in teaching statistics at UCCI.

Dr. Ruth received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Miami in 1999. In 2006 Dr. Ruth passed the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) exam and in 2007 he passed the Chartered Financial Analysts level 1 exam.
