Dr. Mathews joined UCCI from Australia in 2008 as a Professor in Human Resource Management. She taught at the University of South Australia for 16 years where her last post held was Dean: Teaching and Learning.

Dr Mathews brings a background in Business and Education as well as extensive involvement in research projects in Australia and South East Asia. She holds a Diploma of Teaching, Bachelor of Education, Masters Degree in Human Resource Studies and a Doctor of Philosophy awarded by the University of Melbourne, Australia. In 2006, she was awarded a Fellowship from the Australian College of Educators.

Dr Mathews is also a volunteer with the Central Caribbean Marine Institute (CCMI) providing expertise in organizational management and development.
