Ms. Blessitt-Vincent joined UCCI in 2003 and brings to the University
College a broad spectrum of expertise in the areas of Travel and
Tourism, Customer Service Management, Human Resource Management
and Sales and Marketing. She was instrumental in developing the
curricula and modules for the Bachelor of Science Programme in Business
Administration with concentration in Marketing and Management. Also,
she implemented changes in the Hospitality Studies Programmes which
have further strengthened the partnership between UCCI and the industry.
As co-chair of the Tourism Apprenticeship Training Advisory Council,
she supported the timely introduction of the MOT’s Tourism
Apprenticeship Programme which is designed to create a cadre of
Caymanian hospitality professionals in occupations traditionally
under-represented by Caymanians. As an Assistant Professor, she
continues to fill many roles such as lecturing in Marketing, Human
Resource Management, Business and Hospitality.
Ms. Blessitt-Vincent sits on the CITA Training, Education and Scholarship
Committee, Ministry of Education HR Strategy Committee and LCTG
Early Childhood Committee. Among her many qualifications, she possesses
a MBA, BSc in Tourism Management, Certificate in Public Relations,
Diploma in Education, “Train the Trainer” Certification
(ASTD), Global Remuneration Professional (GRP) designation and is
a Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE).
